Firing outside Cong leader's house

Ferozepur : Five persons allegedly opened fire in front of Amrik Singh’s house, a Congress leader, late this evening. At the time of the incident, Amrik Singh and his family were present inside the house. However, no one reportedly sustained any injury. Sources said though the exact reason behind the incident would be ascertained after investigation, as per preliminary investigations, those who are allegedly involved in the firing had been identified as Pratap Singh, Ranjit Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Amardeep Singh and Harbhajan Singh. SSP Kaustubh Sharma said apparently it seemed to be a case of personal enmity as both groups belonged to the same party.  The police was in the process of recording Amrik’s statement to register a case against the accused.
