Institutions told to maintain letter records

LUDHIANA: Many Government Schools are not implementing all the instructions sent to them by the education department as they are not maintaining the records of their letters. The director general of school education Krishna Kumar has now issued guidelines for proper upkeep of records. He said schools should maintain the register and entries for every subject line of the letters issued by education department. The computer teacher of the school will be responsible for downloading the letter from the website of the education department and will get the letters initialled by principals so that they have thorough knowledge of their contents. The computer teacher will be also responsible for letters or guidelines issued to particular subject teachers. He or she will have to get those initialled by the teachers as well.  It was said the teacher will also maintain the record. District education officer Harbhajan Ram said these guidelines would help in proper communication among the educators.
