YC yatra getting support : Bittu

LUDHIANA: The Nav Inquilab Pad Yatra of the Indian Youth Congress (YC) led by Ravneet Bittu, which will be concluding at Nanaksar after passing through 600 villages of the state reached Ayali Kalan in Ludhiana on Tuesday, on its 44th day. Though the YC could not do much in Bihar, its leaders expect the organization to make a dent in Punjab. Alwar MP Jitendra Singh, who is incharge of YC, told TOI that Bihar was an altogether different experience as the presence of the organization was limited there. "I would not call Bihar a catastrophe as Centre has been doing a lot for the state," he added. He said the mammoth crowd here showed that the YC was getting support from everyone. Singh said this yatra was the first time that Punjab YC had attained such a great success. "This event will be a milestone for the future politics of the state," he added. He and YC president Rajiv Satav enjoyed makki ki roti and sarson ka saag in an old building located in the fields of Bains village. Ravneet Bittu met many of the youngsters who had arrived there to see him. He stated that the yatra had been getting support and the faith that Rahul Gandhi had bestowed on him would definitely show its effect on the state and country's political scene.
