Nabha : Karnail Singh Panjoli, an executive member of the SGPC, today flayed Uma Bharti for referring Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale as a “polling agent” of the Congress.Talking to mediapersons at Gurdwara Ajaipal Singh, he termed Bhindranwala as a unique Sikh leader. He also appealed to the Akal TakhtJathedar and the SGPC president to change the name of Gurdwara Qatalgarh Sahib, Chamkour Sahib, to Gurdwara Shahidi Asthan. He said the word ‘qatal’ means ‘murder’ while many Sikhs attained martrydom at this place. He also criticised the Centre for not taking up the turban issue seriously at the international level.
